Apply to Win 6,000 Euro Journalism Award for Child Rights reporting 2018

This is toinvite journalists to participate in the "Ulrich Wickert Award for Child Rights reporting 2018. The International Prize will be rewarded to talented journalists reporting on child right issues and raising awareness about the plight of children facing poverty, discrimination and violence.

All journalists - editors and freelance journalists etc.. - are eligible to apply. One piece per journalist in English, or French, Spanish or German which was published between 1 January and 31 December 2017 in print or online media, radio or television may be submitted for this Award.

The Special Prize honours girls and boys participating in Child / Youth Media Projects or media activities of Plan International.

The deadline for all award submissions is March 31, 2018. Awards will be handed over to the winners on 27th of September, 2018 in Germany’s capital Berlin and include prize money of 6,000 Euro for each award.

Last year, the “Epworth Girls Empowerment Club” from Zimbabwe got the Special Prize for their media work.
